Founder’s Story – Little Jugnu ✨
From writing code to nurturing curious little minds.
Hi, I’m Bhawna Gunwani — a corporate educator, a software developer at heart, and a mom whose curiosity sparked a whole new journey. For nearly 15 years, I’ve taught developers, built software, solved problems, and embraced corporate life. But motherhood changed the kinds of problems I wanted to solve. ❤️
After becoming a mom, I started looking more closely at everything I brought home for my little ones. What were they playing with? What were they learning? Were their toys encouraging exploration or simply keeping them occupied? These questions led me down a rabbit hole of research, observation, and discovery. 🐰🔍
Along the way, I set a personal rule: no plastic, no battery-operated toys — just simple, purposeful play. I wanted to choose toys that gave my children space to think, experiment, and create, while being more thoughtful about the materials we brought into our home. 🌱
I found myself drawn to wooden, Montessori-inspired toys that invited little hands to touch, stack, sort, match, and build. Instead of watching a toy perform, my children could take the lead, discover new possibilities, and sometimes make a wonderful mess along the way! 🧩😄
Watching them play helped me understand something that became the heart of Little Jugnu: children don’t need toys that do everything for them. They need opportunities to do, imagine, and discover for themselves. ❤️
Somewhere between corporate life, motherhood, endless research, and those everyday moments of discovery, Little Jugnu was born — a little brand built around a big belief: thoughtful play can make room for curiosity, creativity, and joyful learning.
